Session Information
Leisure Skating Sessions:
(Monday, Wednesday & Friday)
Enjoy some light exercise
after school or work at these sessions which tend to be quiet and are well suited to novice and beginner skaters of all ages.
Coaches often teach at these sessions and may section off a small part of the ice for group lessons.
Under
fives are admitted for £3.00 including skate hire at these sessions.
UK
Learn to Skate: (Sunday)
This certificated programme offers 45 minutes compulsory
group tuition from resident coaches to beginner and novice skaters of all ages. This session is an ideal introduction
to ice skating and builds confidence to attend other sessions.
General Skating: (Every day)
Afternoon sessions
usually attract the occasional skater, family outings and small groups. With the exception of school holidays and weekends
these sessions are fairly quiet. The evening sessions generally attract the more experienced skater and are not recommended
for beginner and novice skaters.
Family Skating: (Thursday & Saturday)
A skating session with a
family type atmosphere. Competitively priced, these sessions are normally fairly quiet. Please note that ice hockey
skates are not allowed at the Thursday session.
Under fives are admitted for £3.00
including skate hire on Saturday mornings.
Disco Sessions: (Friday & Saturday)
...are general skating sessions in reduced lighting with Disco lights and music from our resident DJ playing
current chart sounds, but able to cater for musical tastes covering the last 25 years. These sessions are extremely
popular with teenagers and students. The Saturday session is the quieter of the two evenings. Strobe lighting
is used after 9.30pm. When the Edinburgh Capitals play on a Saturday night, the session begins approximately 45 minutes
later but runs through until 10.30pm.
Please Note that skating and alcohol/drugs
do not mix. Any customer considered to be under the influence of either will be refused admission or asked to leave
the premises.
